WARNING
The pre- operati on c he ck is very im portant prior to operating
the vehicle. A lways check th e pro per o peration of crit ical con -

• Remove snow and ice from body including seat, footrests, con-
tro ls and instruments.
• Lights — The headlamp, the taillight and the brake light are stan-
dard equipment. Be sure lights are clear of dirt, slush or snow
and are in good working order or condition.
• Verify that track and idler wheels are free to turn and not frozen.

• Activate the brake control lever and make su re the brake fully
applies befor e the brake contr ol lever touches the handlebar grip.
It must fully return when released.
• Check the parkin g de vice. Apply parking brake and check if it
operates properly.
• A ctiv ate the throttle contro l le ver sev eral times to check that i t
operates easily and smoothly.
WARNING
Thro ttle l ever must ope rate ea sily a nd sm oothly. It mu s t re-
turn to idle posi tion whe n r eleased.
• Check operation of tether and engine cutout switches, ignition
switch, headlamp switch (HI-LO), taillight, brake light and pilot
lamps.
• Verify that skis and steering operate freely. Check corresponding
action o f skis versus handlebar.
