To do so, push and hold STA RT/RER button with engine running. Af-
ter 2 seconds, one beep is heard meaning that the low altitude mode
can be selected. Releasing START/RE R button just af ter hearing that
one beep will select the low altitude mode. The r ever se syst em is
now ready to operate i n low al titu de regio ns . Shif ting in reverse is
achieved as described above in S H IFTIN G I N REVE RSE .
To select high altitude m ode, push and hold S TART/RER button until
2 beeps are heard. Release button within one second. The reverse
system is now ready to operate in high altitude regions. Shifting in
reverse is achieved as describ ed above in SHIFTING IN REVERSE.
As long as the START/RER button is pushed and held the RER system
switches from one m ode to the other. One beep then 2 beeps then
onebeepthen2beepsandsoonareheardwithonesecondinterval.
The mode to be selected corresponds to the last beep code heard.
N O TE: The selected altitude m ode is kept in memory until a new
one is chosen — whet her the engine is stopped or not.
Liquid Coole d Mode ls
These vehic les are equipped with a air pressure sensor t hat takes
care of the altitude mode required by the RER.
No START/R ER button operation is needed to select a m ode. Just
follow SHIFTING I N REVERSE above.
9) Handlebar
The handlebar controls the steering of the snowmobile. As the han-
dlebar is rotated to right or left, the skis a re turned right or left to
steer t he snowmobile.
WARNING
Fast rever se while turning, could result in lo ss of stability and
control.
10) Holding Strap
Holding strap provides a grip for driver when side-hilling.
WARNING
Thi s strap is no t for towing , lifting or othe r purpos e tha n tem-
porary use as a g rab bar dur in g side-hilling. Always keep at
leas t on e hand on handle bar.
