Replacement or repair of any emission related com ponent must be
executed in a manner t hat maintains emiss ion levels within the pre-
scri bed certi fic atio n standards.
Dealers are not to modify the engine in any manner that would alter
the horsepower or allow emission levels to exceed their predeter-
mined factory specificat ions.
Exceptions include manufacturer's prescribed changes, such as alti-
tude adjustments for example.
O w ner Res ponsibi lity
The owner/operator is required to have engine maintenance per-
fo rmed to main tain emissio n level s within pres cri bed certificati on
standards.
The owner/operator is not to, and should not allow anyone to mod-
ify the engine in any m anner that would alter the horsepower or al-
low emissions levels to exceed their predetermined factory specifi-
cations.
EPA Em is sion Regulati ons
All 2007 SKI-DOO snowmobile s manufactured by BRP are certified
to the E PA as conforming to the require ment s of the regulations
for the control of air pollution from new snowm obile engines. This
certificatio n is conti ngent on certain adjustments be ing se t to fac-
tory standards. For this reason, the factory procedure for servicing
the product must be strictly follow ed and, whenever practicable, re-
tu rned to th e orig in al intent o f the design.
