Lower position numbers decrease engine R PM in steps of 200 RPM
and higher position numbers increase it in steps of 200 RPM .
Example:
Calibration screw is set at position 4 and is changed to position 6.
So maximum en gin e R PM is increased by 4 00 RPM.
Adjustment
Just loosen locking nut enough to pull calibration screw partially out
and adjust to desired position. Do not completely remove the locking
nut. Torque lo cking nu ts to 1 0 N•m (89 lbf•
in).
CAUTION: Do not complete ly r emov e ca librati on screw other-
wise internal washers w ill fall off. Always adju st all 3 calibration
screwsandmakesuretheyareallsettothesameposition.
