7.4 POWERPLANT
7.4.1 ENGINE
Description: See section 3.4.1
Lubrication: According to Maintenance Manual (Heavy Maintenance) for ROTAX Engine
Types ROTAX 912 and 914 Series and section 6.5, as applicable.

Check regularly for ROTAX Service Bulletins (SB’s), Service Instructions (SI’s) and Service Letters
(SL’s)!
7.4.1.1 GENERAL
Except for the inspection list provided in section 5, the maintenance of the engine ROTAX 914
F2/S1 is basically performed according to the instructions in the Maintenance Manual (Line
Maintenance) for ROTAX Engine Type 914 Series (Annex E) and Maintenance Manual (Heavy
Maintenance) for ROTAX Engine Types ROTAX 912 and 914 Series.
Procedures aected by the modications made for the S12 are included in this section. Otherwise
a reference to the relevant section in the original Maintenance Manuals given above is indicated.
Technical Service, especially maintenance of the engine ROTAX 914 F2/S1, may be performed by
STEMME as well as by authorized distributors and service centers approved by ROTAX.

Service of modied components are carried out by STEMME only, as well as delivery of modied
spare parts.
For identication of components aected by the modications and in any case of doubt it is
