1.3.9 Avoiding Accidents Caused By Control
Failures
Warning: When the machine is out of control, any
attempt to mounting or to stop a moving machine can
result in severe injury or even death.
To avert runaway, its necessary to park machine
properly.
Always park the machine on level ground, do not park
the machine on a slope.
Lower the bucket to the ground.
Disable the auto-idle speed switch and power selecting
switch.
Allow the engine to idle at low speed for 3 minutes to
cool down the machine.
Stop the engine, remove the key.
Turn off the pilot control switch.
When the machine is to park on a slope, chock the
machine on both side of the track, lower bucket to dig
the teeth into the ground.
Position the machine to avoid unexpected movement.
Keep proper distance from the other machine.
1.3.10 Moving Machine Safely
Before moving the machine, check travel control lever
(pedal) to ensure the relationship between operation
direction and machine movement direction.
Before moving the machine, make sure the working
area is free of other persons and obstacles, and sound
the horn to alert.
Bypass any obstacles during traveling.
When traveling, swing, operating working device in
confined area, position a signal person and define the
meaning of the signals beforehand.
