REMOVAL AND DISASSEMBLY
• Remove the rear brake and rear axle housing. ("5-23)
• Remove the rear shock absorber upper bolt 1.
• Remove the swingarm pivot nut 2.
• Remove the swingarm 3.
• Remove the rear shock absorber lower bolt 4.
INSPECTION
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
• Inspect the rear shock absorber for oil leakage or other dam-
age. If any oil leakage or damage are found, replace the rear
shock absorber with a new one.

Do not attempt to disassemble the rear shock absorber.
It is unserviceable.
SWINGARM
• Inspect the swingarm for distortion or damage. If any damages
are found, replace the swing arm with a new one.
