1D-19 Engine Mechanical:
Cylinder Head Cover
Remove the cylinder head cover (1) and its gasket.
Cam Shaft
1) Remove the valve timing inspection plug.
2) Turn the crankshaft and align the match mark “A” on
the crankshaft with the mark “B” of the crankcase.
Also position each of the camshaft as shown.
3) Remove the camshaft journal holders (1).
CAUTION
!
Be sure to loosen the camshaft journal
holder bolts evenly by shifting the wrench
diagonally.
4) Remove the dowel pins (2) and camshafts (3).
NOTE
Be careful not to drop the dowel pins into the
crankcase.
Cam Chain Tension Adjuster
1) Remove the cam chain tension adjuster cap bolt (1).
2) Remove the cam chain tension adjuster (2) with the
spring (3), O-ring (4) and bar (5).
