• Tighten the final drive gear bearing stopper (7) to the
specified torque with the special tool.
CAUTION
!
The removed final drive gear bearing stopper
must be replaced with a new one.
Tightening torque
Final drive gear bearing stopper (b): 100 N·m (
10.0 kgf-m, 72.5 lb-ft)
Special tool
(F): 09924–41830 (Bearing retainer wrench)
• Lock the bearing stopper with a center punch.
NOTE
After the backlash and tooth contact have
been checked or adjusted, stake the collar of
bearing stopper into the notch.
• Install the oil seal to the final gear case with the
special tool.
Special tool
(G): 09951–15810 (Bearing installer)
• Apply a small quantity of grease to the oil seal lip.
: Grease 99000–25160 (Water resistance
grease)
• Install the final driven gear bearing cover with the
special tool.
Special tool
(G): 09951–15810 (Bearing installer)
• Install the oil seal with the special tool.
Special tool
(G): 09951–15810 (Bearing installer)
• Apply a small quantity of grease to the oil seal lip.
