• Install the valve springs with the smaller pitch
A facing the
cylinder head.
• Install the valve spring retainer
1, press down the spring
using the valve lifter and then install the cotter halves onto the
valve stem end. Then, release the valve lifter to allow the cot-
ters
2 to wedge between the retainer and the valve stem. Be
sure that the rounded lip
3 of the cotter fits snugly into the
groove
4 in the stem end.

INTAKE PIPE
• When installing the intake pipe, apply grease to the O-ring.
( 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”

Make sure that the protrusion
A comes to the right side.
Towards
Cylinder
head
Be sure to install all of the parts in their original posi-
tions.
Use the new O-ring to prevent sucking air from the
joint.
