PSX-5300 DC Power
To take advantage of the redundant power supplies, use two separate -48 volt DC power
connections from two separate fuse panels or from a fuse panel with redundant (A and B) fuse
positions.
DC Power Requirements
The PSX-5300 is designed to operate on -43.2 to -52.8 volt DC power, at a maximum of 48
watts. Requirements for the actual power connection are as follows:
• The supply wiring should be 12 to 18 AWG.
• The -48 VDC supply should be electrically isolated from any AC source.
• The -48 VDC source should be reliably connected to earth ground.
• A readily accessible disconnect device must be incorporated in the building installation or
local wiring.
• The PSX-5300 shall be installed in accordance with 110-16, 110-17, and 110-18 of the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70.
DC Power Fuse
The PSX-5300 DC power supply contains a 2A, 250V Fast-Acting fuse.
