OPERATING
TEMPERATURE. This instru-
ment
is
cooled by
natural
convention; therefore, adequate
clearance
(at
least
one inch)
should
be
maintained around
the case. The
clearance
provided
by
the feet on the rear
panel must
be
maintained
to
prevent power supply over-
heating.
A
thermal
cutout inside the instrument provides
overheating
protection and disconnects power if the in-
ternal
temperature exceeds a
safe operating level. Power is
automatically
restored when the
internal temperature
returns to a
safe
operating level.
To
prevent
damage to
the
instrument when it
continuaiiy
shuts
down due to
overheating,
it
should
be
turned-off
and referred to
maintenance
personnel.
