RMSJitter meas
ures the v ariance in the time locations of the cross point. The
RMS jitter is defined as one standard deviation at the cross point.
RMSNoise meas
ures the Root Mean Square noise amplitude on a waveform at
the mid reference level.
SIGMA1 (his
togram measurement) measures the percentage of points in the
histogram that are within one standard deviation of the histogram mean.
SIGMA2 (his
togram measurement) measures the percentage of points in the
histogram that are w ithin two standard deviations of the histogram mean.
SIGMA3 (hi
stogram measurement) measures the percentage of points in the
histogram that are within three standard deviations of the histogram mean.
SIXSigma
jit
(histogram measurement) is six × RMSJitter.
SNRatio measures the signal-to-noise ratio. The signal-to-noise ratio is the
amplitu
deofanoiserejectionbandcenteredonthemidlevel.
STDdev measures the standard deviation (Root Mean Square (RMS) deviation) of
all acq
uired points within or on the histogram box.
UNDEFINED is the default measurement type, wh ich indicates that no measurement
type i
s specified. Once a measurement type is chosen, it can be cleared using
this argument.
WAVE
FORMS
(waveform count) measures the number of waveforms used to
calculate the histogram.
Examples
MEASUREMENT:MEAS2:TYPE FREQUENCY defines measurement 2 as a
measurement of the frequency of a waveform.
MEASUREMENT:MEAS1:TYPE? might return :MEASURE MENT:MEAS1:TYPE RMS,
indicating that measurement 1 is defined to measure the RMS value of a waveform.
MEASUrement:MEAS<x>:UNIts? (Query Only)
This query-only command returns the units associated with the specified
measurement. Measurements are specified by x, which ranges from 1 through 8.
