Trigger Setup
Trigger Holdoff
Adjust holdof
f to obtain stable triggering when
the instrument is triggering on undesired
trigger events.
Trigger holdo
ff can help stabilize triggering,
since the oscilloscope does not recognize
new triggers during the holdoff time. When
the instrume
nt recognizes a trigger event, it
disables the trigger system until acquisition
is complete. In addition, the trigger system
remains dis
abled during the holdoff period
that follows each acquisition.

Trigger Coupling
Trigger co
upling determines what part of the
signal is passed to the trigger circuit. Edge
triggering can use all available coupling
types: DC
, AC, Low Frequency Rejection,
High Frequency Rejection, and Noise
Rejection. Sequence (B) triggering does not
provide
AC coupling. Other trigger types use
DC coupling only.
Horizontal Position
When Delay Mode is on, use horizontal
positi
on to acquire waveform detail in a
region that is separated from the trigger
location by a significant interval of time.
