Trigger Setup
If you are setting up an SPI trigger and have made a Trigger On selection of MOSI or MISO, push Data on the lower menu,
push MOSI or MIS
O on the side menu, and enter the data parameters of interest with multipurpose knobs a and b.
Then push Numb
er of Bytes on the lower menu and enter the number of bytes with multipurpose k nob a.
If you select M
OSI & MISO, push Data on the lower menu and enter the parameters of interest in the side menus.
RS-232 Bus Trigger
You can trigger on Tx Start Bit, Rx Start Bit, Tx End of Packet, Rx End of Packet, Tx Data,orRx Data.
If you are setting up an RS-232 trigger and have made a Trigger On selection of Tx Data or Rx Data, push Data on the
lower menu.
Push Number of Bytes on the lower menu and enter the number of bytes with multipurpose knob a.
Push Data on the side m enu, and enter the parameters of interest with multipurpose knobs a and b.
CAN Bus Trigger
You can trigger on Start of Frame. Type of Frame, Identifier, Data, Id & Data, End of Frame, and Missing Ack.
If you are setting up a C AN trigger and have made a Trigger On selection of Type of Frame, push Fram e Type on the lower
menu, an
d select Data Frame, Remote Frame, Error Frame,orOverload Frame.
If you ha
ve made a Trigger On selection of Id entifier , push Identifier on the lower menu and select a Format. Then push
Identifier on the side m enu, and enter a binary or hex value with multipurpose knobs a and b.
Push Direction on the l ower menu and select the d irection of interest: Read, Write,orRead or Write.
If you have made a Trigger On selection of Data, push Data on the lower menu and enter the parameters of interest.
LIN Bus Trigger
You can trigger on Sync, Identifier, Data, Id & Data, Wakeup Frame , Sleep Frame,orError.
If you are setting up an LIN trigger and have made a Trigger On selection of Identifier, Data,orIdentifier & Data, push
Identifier or Data on the lower menu and enter the parameters of interest on the resulting side menu.
If you have made a Trigger On selection of Error, push Error Type on the lower menu and enter the parameters of
interest on the resulting side menu.
FlexRay Bus Trigger
You can trigger on Start of Frame, Type of Frame, Identifier, Cycle Cou nt , Header Fields, Data, Id & Data, End
of Frame or Error.
Au
dio Bus Trigger
If you are using an I2C, Left Justified (LJ), or Right Justified (RJ) audio bus, you can trigger on Word Select or Data.
IfyouareusinganTDM audio bus, you can trigger on Frame Sync or Data.
