10. Check that the L
ED on the module rear panel is a steady red. This indicates a
short circuit.
11. Remove the ter
minators and the connection to the voltmeter.
Lock to GPS and/or GLONASS through antenna.
CAUTION. To avoid antenna damage, do not turn on the DC antenna power until
you know that the antenna is designed to handle the selected voltage. Antenna
damage can occur if the antenna is not designed to handle the voltage you select.
1. Set the antenna voltage as needed by the antenna in the test system.
2. Determine which type of GPS receiver is installed:
a. Press the MODULE buttontonavigatetoTG8000 : PRESET.
b. Use the up (▲) or down (▼) arrow button to select TG8000 : UTILITY.
c. Press t
he ENTER button to enter the UTILITY submenu.
d. If necessary, use the up (▲)ordown(▼) arrow button to select TG8000
:UTIL
ITY: VERSION INFO (H/W).
e. Use the left (◄)orright(►) arrow button to select GPS7.
f. The second line of the display includes a module ID field. Perform one of
the following actions:
If the module ID is 3015 or 3023, proceed to step 3.
If the module ID is 3002,thenproceedtostep4.
3. Set the GPS Constellation type to GPS & G LONASS:
NOTE. You need to perform the following step only if your GPS7 module has a
GPS/GLONASS receiver.
a. Press the MODULE button to navigate to the GPS7 module.
b. Use the up (▲)ordown(▼) arrow button to select GPS SETUP.
c. Press the ENTER button.
d. Use the up (▲)ordown(▼) arrow button to select GPS
CONSTELLATION.
e. Use the left (◄)orright(►) arrow b utton to select GPS & GLONASS.
f. Press the ENTER button to make the selection.
