User can select this menu (MAIN STATUS) by using ^ arrow buttons.
In this upper line of the display, MAIN:RF-IN1 means MAIN channel is taking input signal from RF input-1
port. 8VSB means the modulation type of RF input-1.
In the bottom line of the display, [FREQ:479000] means the channel is tuned to 479,000 kHz (center
frequency of the band).
[MMS-HD] is an example of program name currently tuned.
<1/3> indicates that current channel contains 3 programs and user can select another program using <>
arrow buttons.
User can enter the frequency of RF signal in no menu state2 instead of entering value of the frequency in
CONFIG/RF-IN1/TUNE CENTER FREQ. The frequency unit is in kHz.
If user enters ambiguous number like 57[ENTER], the receiver will prompt user to select from channel 57
and 57MHz.
Example) No menu state3 (Not properly tuned or No input signal)
If it is properly tuned, but there is no video is visible, use the DIAGNOSIS/COLOR BAR menu to check the
cause of the problem. If COLOR BAR is shown on the display, it means that your input signal or setting is
wrong.
2.6 VERIFYING DIGITAL TV SIGNAL DECODING THRU DVB-ASI OR SMPTE-310M INPUT (ONLY
IF YOU HAVE THIS SOURCE AVAILABLE)
Connect TS (transport stream) input (SMPTE-310M or DVB-ASI format) into BNC IN(ASI/SMPTE-310M)-
1 connector. The SMPTE-310M or DVB-ASI mode is automatically detected and user does not need to
configure input connector to tell the receiver the TS mode.
If you were watching video other than composite video, enter the button ‘1’ with numeric button following
ENTER button. The receiver will choose BNC IN(ASI/SMPTE-310M)-1 source for MAIN decoder and tune
to the stream. You may also use CONFIG/MAIN/SOURCE to select BNC-1 as an alternative way.
If you were watching video with composite video, use CONFIG/SUB/SOURCE and select BNC-1. The
receiver will choose BNC IN(ASI/SMPTE-310M)-1 source for SUB decoder and tune to the stream.
Use left and right arrow button at the no menu state2 to select another program in the channel if current
channel shows multiple program.
Other connector BNC IN(ASI/SMPTE-310M)-2~5 can be used similar way only if user choose number 2~5
instead of 1 above.
As above numeric button method can not distinguish BNC-2 selection and RF channel 2 selections, the
