Caution
Before initial start-up, a trained supplier should instruct you on how to use the product.
Before starting the training session, check with a doctor which training parameters match the patients level
of fitness (avoid excessive strain).
Before starting the training session, check with a doctor which joint forces can be applied by the patient.
If any symptoms of illness occur during or after training, seek medical advice immediately.
Assistants should be instructed by trained specialists before initial start-up.
Use the THERA-Trainer only in good and functional condition.
Place the THERA-Trainer, as well as the bed/couch/chair/wheelchair, on a level and non-slip surface.
Regularly check screws for firm seat.
Make sure that foot rests or adapters for upper body training and the corresponding upper body training
accessories click properly into place.
Make sure that no body parts get jammed when making adjustments to the THERA-Trainer.
Do not wear jewellery or other accessories while exercising.
Tie back hair if longer than shoulder-length.
Exercise only if no differently approved accessories (a foot rest and an adapter for upper body training)
are plugged in.
Exercise only with feet correctly positioned in the foot rests.
Pressure-sensitive skin areas may require additional padding or protection to prevent injuries.
e.g. footwear, padding in foot rests
Only train one side when unused foot rests or adapters for upper body training are not plugged in.
In the case of paralysis, spasms or weak legs, use the THERA-Trainer only with the relevant options.
Set sensitivity of spasm detection to fit the patients needs.
Exercise only with feet adequately secured.
There is a risk of crushing between the foot rest and the crank disc during training if the feet are
inadequately secured.
Exercise only with hands/arms adequately secured.
For leg training, only use the THERA-Trainer in a recumbent or semi-recumbent position.
For upper body training, use the Thera-Trainer in a recumbent, semi-recumbent or sitting position.
Never leave children unattended.
Only retrofit the THERA-Trainer when the THERA-Trainer is without power or in STOP mode.
When exercising on a bed/couch/chair/wheelchair:
Make sure that the bed/couch/chair/wheelchair is sturdy and stable and does not tip over.
Make sure that castors are locked.
Make sure that inadvertent unlocking of the castors while exercising is not possible.
When sitting in an electric wheelchair, make sure that the electronic control/driving function is switched
off.
Do not touch moving parts.
Make sure that children do not swallow or inhale any small parts (e.g. retaining screws, etc.).
The THERA-Trainer should only be operated by specialists with closed shoes.
