‒ for patients whose range of movement is extremely limited and for whom even very light passive movement
training poses a risk of injury.
‒ acute inflammation (e.g. of the joints).
‒ acute thrombosis.
‒ acute neurological deficiencies.
‒ recently herniated discs.
‒ previously damaged tendons (risk of rupture).
Use the THERA-Trainer in consultation with a doctor in the case of:
‒ severe pain during exercise.
‒ epilepsy.
‒ dislocation of the shoulder and hip.
‒ COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
‒ heart failure.
‒ pacemaker.
‒ cardiovascular weakness.
‒ artificial hearts.
In order to ensure risk-free operation, the following measures and instructions must be noted:
‒ Continuous monitoring of the patient’s therapeutic success.
‒ Check and adjust therapy settings if there are signs of deterioration in the patient’s condition.
16. Misuse/side effects
Misuse:
Do not use the THERA-Trainer bemo in the following cases:
‒ for domestic use.
‒ in combination with other products that emit ionising radiation (e.g. radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, etc.)
‒ in rooms with
o explosive substances
o oxygenated air
‒ in the presence of
o flammable anaesthetics
o volatile solvents
‒ for outdoor exercise.
‒ in ambient conditions not conforming to the requirements.
‒ for unsupervised training if
o T.assist is not available or defective.
o Patient emergency stop is not installed.
o Patient emergency stop and/or bed bell cannot be reached by the patient at all times.
‒ for exercising legs while sitting.
‒ for exercising the upper body while standing.
‒ in the vicinity of RF surgical equipment and in RF shielded rooms with medical magnetic resonance
imaging systems.
THERA-Trainer bemo is not suitable for:
‒ Diagnosis
‒ Monitoring
‒ Measuring
