Compatibility check for beds/couches with shock position feature:
Make sure that a training session with the THERA-Trainer and bed/couch is possible.
Collision with the THERA-Trainer during shock position:
o
Distance detection responds. Training is possible.
o
Distance detection does not respond. Training should only be carried out under supervision.
17.3.4. Patient emergency stop
WARNING!
Risk of injury if patient emergency stop is missing!
Exercise only under supervision if there is no patient emergency stop.
Ensure that the patient emergency stop and/or bed bell can be reached by the patient at all times during
training.
The patient emergency stop is an external button for the patient to immediately terminate a training
session. Ensure that the patient emergency stop can be reached throughout the entire training session.
Press patient emergency stop in dangerous situations.
The number of revolutions and the exercising resistance slow down to 0 immediately.
The display unit shows STOP.
If T.assist is available, the status light flashes orange and beeps sound.
To exit emergency stop:
Press STOP button.
17.3.5. T.assist signal
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to defective T.assist signal!
Only train under supervision if T.assist signal is detected as defective during boot-up:
Make sure that status indicators light up in the colours blue, red and green every time you start up the device.
Make sure that beeps sound every time you start up the device.
Have malfunctions repaired by trained suppliers.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to missing T.assist!
Only use the THERA-Trainer without T.assist for training under supervision.
Only train shock-prone patients under supervision if T.assist is not available.
For unsupervised training, make sure that the patient emergency stop and/or bed bell can be reached
at all times.
The volume of the different signal tones is identical and can be adjusted over 10 levels (53 - 62 dB(A))
by trained specialists. Factory setting = Level 10 (62 dB(A))
The T.assist signal helps to quickly detect dangerous situations. States of the status light:
Orange the THERA-Trainer is not ready for operation
o Emergency stop button is pressed (see chapter 17.3.1)
o Distance detection responds (see chapter 17.3.3)
o Patient emergency stop pressed (see Chapter 17.3.4)
Green the THERA-Trainer is ready for operation or being used for training
