19.1. Release patient
Danger to life due to defibrillation!
Before starting defibrillation, remove the patient's extremities from the trainer.
To release the patient from the trainer:
Stop exercising.
With leg training, remove feet from foot rests.
‒ Use easy entry for easier exit (see chapter 18.1.2).
With upper body training, remove arms from therapy grips/arm rests.
Adjust height of the THERA-Trainer to be able to move it over the bed/couch.
Release parking brakes.
Move trainer to the back away from the bed/couch.
Actions if height cannot be adjusted on the trainer (lifting columns are defective):
‒ Set the height of the bed/couch to the lowest position.
‒ Lower the foot part of the bed/couch.
‒ Remove foot part from the bed/couch.
‒ Trainer does not fit over the bed/couch yet:
1. Adjust the rear double steering castors so that they point forwards.
2. With at least two people, tilt the trainer onto the rear double steering castors.
3. Move the trainer backwards until the drive unit fits over the bed/couch.
4. Carefully tilt the trainer forwards.
5. Inform a trained supplier that the trainer is defective.
6. Do not use the trainer for further training.
