12. Installation and movement (transport)
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to incorrect transport!
 Only transport the THERA-Trainer with double steering castors on level and firm ground.
When installing the THERA-Trainer, make sure that the trainer is placed on a level, firm and non-slip surface
and that the parking brakes are locked. Reposition the THERA-Trainer if the position of the trainer changes
during therapy.
 Stop training session.
 Reposition the THERA-Trainer (see chapter 17.4).
 Continue training.
To transport the THERA-Trainer:
 Adjust height to be able to move the trainer over the bed/couch.
 Disconnect power plug from the mains supply.
‒ Hang the mains cable on the THERA-Trainer hook.
 Disconnect the equipotential bonding cable from the THERA-Trainer.
 Release parking brakes.
 Transport the THERA-Trainer to the next place of use.
‒ Hold the THERA-Trainer by the lifting column, crossbeam or drive unit to guide the trainer during
transport.
‒ Make sure that the THERA-Trainer fits through doors/corridors.
The manufacturer recommends removing options such as foot rests, therapy grips, arm rests,
etc. for transport.
13. Maintenance/repairs/reuse
WARNING!
Danger to life due to electric shock!
 Prior to any maintenance or repair work, disconnect the power plug.
WARNING!
Danger to life due to improper maintenance!
 Service or repair work should only be carried out by trained suppliers.
The THERA-Trainer is maintenance-free.
In accordance with Section 11 of the German Medical Devices Operator Ordinance (MPBetreibV), no safety
check is required. The manufacturer recommends performing a safety check every 24 months. If the housing
of the THERA-Trainer is opened or work is carried out on the electronics, a safety check is necessary.
The relevant information for the safety check is available from the manufacturer upon request.
The THERA-Trainer is suitable for re-use by a different patient. Before the THERA-Trainer is reused:
 Clean and disinfect the device thoroughly (see chapter 19.3).
 Perform a visual check or a function check.
 Check if all accessories and options are complete.
