Power Connection
Using the proper power connections is vital to the safe operation of the unit. Only use the supplied 3-prong
power connector or one with equal specifications. NEVER tamper with or remove the 3
rd
prong grounding
pin. This could cause damage to the unit, personnel, or property.
AC Power Connection
The unit is intended for use on either 120V or 240V systems. The power supply will automatically detect
the system it is connected to. To hook up the power use the following steps:
1. Locate the AC power cord that was included with the unit.
2. Plug the female end of the power cord (end with no prongs) into the back of the unit.
3. Locate a protected outlet (usually inside of the rack) to plug the male end of the power cable into.
1.2 Quick Start Guide
Quick Start
To get the unit up and running there is a few things that need to be done.
1. Select the desired input as active.
2. Setup the Source ID.
3. Setup the desired output(s).
The easiest way to set these options up is to refer to Section 4. At the beginning of Section 4 is a table that
shows the specific cards included in that section. Find the desired card in the table, then navigate to the
corresponding page number and follow the step-by-step instructions.
1.3 Maintenance
The unit is virtually a maintenance-free piece of equipment. There are no user serviceable parts on the
inside of the unit however it is recommended that the user cleans the intake filter on the front right side of
the unit on a regular basis to ensure the unit has an unobstructed cool air intake. This filter is removed
easily, for cleaning, by opening the door on the front right side of the unit and removing the filter.
