Overview
The RD1000 or RD1002 is extremely versatile piece of equipment and in order to further expand its capabilities
its internal setup can be factory configured in a number of different ways.
The RD1000 is a mono channel receiver descrambler.
This configuration provides no decoded video output. The placement of input/output cards can be in slots
1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4. No video output cards may be installed. This configuration is usually used as a
satellite receiver or in combination with an MPEG/IP card to encapsulate the TS from the active input and
transmit it via IP. Only one input may be active at a time.
The RD1002 is a dual channels receiver - descrambler
This configuration provides no decoded video output. This configuration offers 2 independent receivers
descramblers, each having its own inputs and outputs. The placement of input/output cards can be in slots
1-2, 1-3, 1-4 for receiver #1 (RDS1) and 2-2, 2-3, 2-4 for receiver #2 (RDS2). No video output cards may
be installed. Only one input per receiver may be active at a time.
