2. Fuel injector signal line open/short circuit
Inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM connector B .
Check for open or short circuit between each fuel
injector 2P connector main wire harness side No.1
terminal and ECM connector B main wire
harness side terminal.
Is it normal?
YES – Circuit is normal.
NO – Repair the open or short circuit in wire
between the fuel injector and ECM.
FUEL INJECTOR INSPECTION
Remove the intake manifold (page 5-72).
Turn the combination switch OFF and disconnect the
fuel injector connectors.
Measure the resistance between the fuel injector [1]
terminals.
THROTTLE BODY INSPECTION
• Do not adjust the throttle stop screw [1].
Check that the throttle valve turns smoothly when the
throttle cam [2] is turned.
Check that there is no excessive wear on of the throttle
valve shaft when the throttle valve lever [3] is turned.
Make sure there is no clearance between the throttle
stop screw and stopper [4] of the throttle valve lever.
Remove the throttle body (page 5-71).
Check for dirt or stains on the throttle valve and the
throttle body bore.
Install the throttle body (page 5-71).
If the throttle valve does not turn smoothly or the throttle
valve shaft is worn out, replace the throttle body
assembly. If the throttle valve and bore have dirt or
stains, clean the throttle body (page 5-72).
Resistance:11 – 13 Ω
