GEAR CASE (STANDARD ROTATION)
Remove the shift plate [1] from the shift slider [2], and
then remove the two shift springs [3] and the two steel
balls (#12) [4].
• Take care not to let the shift springs and the steel
balls pop out of the shift slider during removal of the
shift plate.
PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL
Remove the shift slider (page 16-19).
Prepare the fixing tool with the dimensions shown or
use the special tool.
Position the propeller shaft holder [1] on the fixing tool
or special tool [2] and secure the holder with two bolts
[3].
Hold the fixing tool with a vise.
• Avoid holding the propeller shaft holder directly in a
vise. Use the fixing tool to hold it in a vise.
Loosen the bearing holder [4] using the special tool as
shown.
Remove the bearing holder from the propeller shaft
holder.
Remove the propeller shaft [1], thrust bearing F [2],
thrust bearing washer [3], and O-ring [4] from the
propeller shaft holder [5].
