REPLACEMENT
Clamp fuel tubes A [1] and B [2] with hose clips, and
then disconnect fuel tubes A and C from the strainer.
Release the power tilt switch wire [3] from the harness
clip [4].
Remove the two bolts [5] and fuel strainer [6] with the
strainer bracket [7].
Remove the harness clip [1], suspension [2], and fuel
strainer from the strainer bracket [3].
Remove the following parts from the strainer body [4]:
– Cup [5]
– O-ring (32.2 x 2 mm) [6]
–Float [7]
– Fuel filter [8]
– O-ring (19.5 x 1.5 mm) [9]
Clean the water or sediment in the cup, and if
necessary, replace the fuel filter.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
• Do not reuse O-rings.
• Tighten the bottom surface [10] of the cup to the
specified torque.
• Install the suspension with its arrow mark [11] facing
up and between the fuel tube joints [12].
TORQUE: 3.4 N·m (0.35 kgf·m, 2.5 lbf·ft)
