9) Ignition Timing Adjustment
1. Rotate the throttle grip fully toward the FAST side until the
grip stops.
2. Adjust using the link rod 1 so that the timing mark 2
25°of the magneto coil plate and the ignition timing
inspection line (crank case mating surface) 3 coincide.
3. Adjust the stopper bolt 4 so that the advancer arm 5
touched the stopper bolt.
4. Rotate the throttle grip fully toward the SLOW side until
the grip stops.
5. Adjust the stopper bolt 6 at the position where the timing
mark 2 3°ATDC of the magneto coil plate and the ignition
timing inspection line 3 coincide.
Ignition Timing-Full Throttle : BTDC 25°
Adjust the advancer arm link rod 6 as shown in
the figure when you adjust the ignition timing.
8) Inspection of Thermostat
Refer to Chapter 5.
