5. Set the dog-bone (elements 3-4)
horizontal using a builders level.
Once elements 3 and 4 are level,
set the Pitch value to zero (0.0°),
and then set the Roll value to
match the body roll. Press OK, and
then press Next.
6. Measure and enter the four lengths
of the dog-bone joint, then press
Calibrate (Figure 3-28 on page 3-
28).
7. Calibrate the stick angle difference
(Figure 3-28 on page 3-28) using
one of the two following options:
– Option 1: Using plum bob or
builders level, align points 2
and 3 vertically. Using a
builders level, move the bucket
so that points 3 and 4 are
aligned horizontally. Press
Calibrate.
– Option 2: Align points 2 and 3
vertically using a Total Station
vertical cross hair. Point the intersection of cross hairs on
point 3 and roll the bucket untill point 4 is on the horizontal
cross hair. Press Calibrate.
