Verifying Main Antenna to
Boom Length
The distance from the Main antenna to the boom pivot determines the
position of the machine front/back. Errors in this measurement will
have a direct corresponding position error at the bucket.

1. Create a flat plane design file.
2. Position the machine directly North (both edges of the bucket will
have the same Northing value).
3. Mark the position of bucket teeth on the ground and record the
Northing value.
4. Raise only the boom and the rotate machine 180°, facing directly
South.
5. Lower the boom and mark position of the bucket teeth on the
ground. Record the Northing value.
6. Subtract these two Northing values (e.g. 15.50 Ft.).
7. Using a tape, measure the actual distance between bucket
positions (e.g. 15.30 Ft.).
