119)totherearofthemotorhousing.
IMPORTANT
Therotormagnetsareverypowerfulandcancausetherotorto
shiftpositionveryrapidlyduringremoval.Becautiousduringrotor
removaltopreventcomponentdamageorpersonalinjury.
6.Useanelectricmotorrotortoolset(refertoElectricMotorRotorToolSet
(page5–16))tocarefullyremovetherotorassembly(items11,5,and12in
Figure119)andmotorcoverfromthemotorhousing.
7.Removethemotorcoverandwavewasherfromtherotorassembly.Remove
anddiscardtheO-rings(items10and7inFigure119)fromthecover.
8.RemoveanddiscardtheO-ring(item3inFigure119)fromthemotorhousing.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatyoudonotdamagethegearboxcovercounterborewhen
removingtheshaftsealfromthecover.
9.Carefullyremovetheshaftsealfromthegearboxcover,anddiscardtheseal.
10.Ifnecessary,removethebearingsfromtheoutputgear(item14inFigure
119)androtor.Discardthebearingsiftheyareremoved.
11.Inspectgreaseintheoutputgearareaofthemotorhousing.Ifgreaseis
cleanandnotcontaminated,itcanremaininthehousing.Ifgreaseis
contaminated,cleanthegreasefromthehousingandreplacewith15mlof
NLGIgrade00greaseduringmotorassembly.
12.Inspectthemotorcomponentsforwearordamage.Replacethecomponents
orcompleteelectricmotorassemblyifnecessary.
AssemblingtheElectricMotor
1.Ensurethatallthemotorcomponentsarecleanedbeforeassembly.
2.Ifthebearingswereremovedfromtheoutputgear(item14inFigure119)
androtor,installnewbearings.
Note:Ensurethatthebearingsarefullypressedontotheshafts.
3.LubricatenewinnerO-ring(item3inFigure119)withdielectriclubricant
(refertoDielectricGel(page2–15))andinstalltheO-ringintotherearof
themotorhousing.
IMPORTANT
