DisassemblingtheIdlerAssembly(CounterRotatingGroomerDrive)
1.Parkmachineonlevelsurface.TurnkeyswitchtotheOFFpositionand
removekeyfromtheswitch.EnsurethatthetractionleverisintheNEUTRAL
position.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Disconnectthebatterypack;refertoConnectingtheLithiumBatteryPack
(page8–3).
3.Ensurethatthehandleongroomercoverisrotatedtowardfrontofmachine
sothatthegroomerdriveisengaged.
4.Removegroomercoverassemblyandgasketfrommachine;referto
GroomerCover(CounterRotatingGroomerDrive)(page8–7).
5.Removerightdriveplateassemblyfromrightsideofcuttingunit;referto
GroomingReel(CounterRotatingGroomerDrive)(page8–14).
6.Removeidlercomponentsfromrightdriveplateasnecessary(Figure208).
AssemblingtheIdlerAssembly(CounterRotatingGroomerDrive)
1.Assembleidlercomponentstorightdriveplate(Figure208).Ensurethatthe
retainingringisfullyseatedingrooveofreelhubafterassembly.
Note:Whenproperlyinstalled,theidlerbracket(item4inFigure208)should
pivotfreelyonreelhub.
2.Installrightdriveplateassemblytorightsideofcuttingunit;refertoGrooming
Reel(CounterRotatingGroomerDrive)(page8–14).Ensurethatthe
groomerdrivegearandgroomingreeldrivengearareproperlytorqued.Do
notinstallidlergears,extensionspringorgroomercoverassemblytodrive
plateassembly.

A.Rotateidlerbracketsothatthebracketstopisagainsttheadjustment
cam.
B.Whileholdingbracketstopagainstthecam,measurethedistance
betweentheidlergearbearingsurfacesontheidlerbracketandthedrive
plate.Thisdistanceshouldbe37.7mm(1.484inch).
C.Ifdistanceisincorrect,loosenangenutthatsecuresadjustmentcamto
driveplate.Rotatetheadjustmentcamuntildistanceiscorrect.Then,
tightenangenuttosecureadjustment.Ensurethatthedistanceisstill
correctaftertighteningthenut.
