IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingtheexcoupler(item10inFigure48)ontotheshaft,
donotdamagetheoutersurfaceofthecoupler(e.g.,graspingwith
pliersormountinginvise)ascouplermaybedamagedandfail
prematurely.
11.Slidetheexcouplerontothebearingcollar(item15inFigure48),support
thecouplertopreventitfrombeingdamagedduringthespringpininstallation.
Installanewspringpinintothecouplertosecurethecouplertothecollar.
InstallingtheReelClutchShaft
1.Beforeinsertingthereelclutchassemblyintothetransmissionhousing,clean
thereelbrakering(item2inFigure48)thatispressedintothehousing.
2.Slidethereelclutchshaftassemblyintothetransmissionhousing.
3.Alignthemissingtoothinsplineareaofthereelclutchlever(item27inFigure
48)withthereelclutchfork.Inserttheleverthroughthehousingandfork.
Securetheleverwiththeretainingring.
4.Installthetransmissiondrivebeltandallthemachinecomponentsremoved
forthereeldrivesystemservice;refertoTransmissionDriveBelt(page
4–38).
5.Checkthereelclutchadjustment;refertoAdjustingtheReelClutch(page
4–12).Adjustasnecessary.
6.Connectthereelclutchcabletothetransmission;refertoReplacingtheReel
ClutchCable(page6–10).Ensurethattheclutchcableisproperlyadjusted.
7.Connectthebatterypack;refertoConnectingtheLithiumBatteryPack
(page4–3).
