switchtotheOffpositionandremovethekeyfromtheswitch.Ensurethat
theparkingbrakeisnotengaged.
2.Removetheoperator’sconsole;refertoRemovingandInstallingthe
Operator’sConsole(page7–24).
3.Loosenthejamnuts(item26)thatsecurethebrakecabletobrakelever
bracket.
4.Removetheretainingring(item1)thatsecuresbrakecabletothebrake
leverandslidethebrakecableofftheleverpin.
5.Removetheretainingring(item21)thatsecuresbrakecabletothebracket
belowtheleftrearwheelmotorandslidethebrakecablefromtheframe.
6.Removethebrakecablefromtheparkingbrakebellcrankontherearcross
tubeoftheframe:
A.Removetheangenutthatsecuresthebrakecableendtothebellcrank.
B.Slidethebrakecableandspacerfromtheshoulderbolt.
7.Recordthelocationofcabletiesandroutingofthebrakecableforassembly
purposes.Removethebrakecablefromthemachine.
8.Disassembleanyadditionalbrakelinkagecomponentsasnecessary.Repair
orreplacethecomponentsthatarewornordamaged.
9.Usingthenotesrecordedduringbrakecableremoval,routeandsecurethe
brakecablethroughthemachine.
10.Securethebrakecabletothebellcrankontherearcrosstubeoftheframe:
A.Slidethespacerandthebrakecableendontotheshoulderbolt.
B.Securethebrakecableendtothebellcrankwiththepreviouslyremoved
angenut.
11.Securethebrakecabletothebracketbelowtheleftrearwheelmotorwith
thepreviouslyremovedretainingring.
12.Securethebrakecableendtothebrakeleverpinwiththepreviously
removedretainingring.
13.Securethebrakecabletothebrakeleverbracketwiththecablejamnuts.
14.Installtheoperator’sconsole;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheOperator’s
Console(page7–24).
15.Testtheparkingbrakeoperationbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
