systemalsoincludesanfuelevaporativecontrolsystemdesignedtocollectand
storeevaporativeemissionsfromthefueltank;refertoEvaporativeControl
System(page4–13).

•Alwaysllthefueltankoutsideandwipeupanyspilledgasoline
beforestartingtheengine.

thecapinplace.
•Usegasolineasanenginefuelonly,notforanyotherpurpose.

CheckingtheFuelLinesandConnections
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsatthescheduledmaintenanceintervals
recommendedinthetractionunitOperator'sManual.Checkthelinesfor
deterioration,damage,leaks,orlooseconnections.Replacethehoses,clamps,
andttingsifnecessary;refertoFigure13.
RemovingandInstallingtheFuelTank
RefertoFigure13forthisprocedure.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,loweranyattachments,engagethe
parkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekey
fromthekeyswitch.
IMPORTANT
Topreventdamagetothefuelhoses,cabletiesandclampsmay
beusedtosecurethehosestothemachinecomponents.Record
thelocationofallcabletiesandclampsthatareremovedfromthe
machinesotheycanbeproperlyreplaced.
2.Closethefuelshut-offvalveanddisconnectthefuelhosefromthein-line
fuellter.
3.Placedisconnectedhoseinappropriatecontainerandopenfuelshut-off
valvetoallowfueltanktodraincompletely.Closethefuelshut-offvalve.
4.Disconnectthefuelhosefromtherollovervalveatthetopofthefueltank.
