fromenteringthefuelsystem.
6.Removethecapscrew(item32)fromunderthefrontofthefueltank.
7.Removethethree(3)screwsthatretainthedashpaneltothemachine,then
carefullyraisethedashpaneltoaccesstherearfueltankclamps.

8.Removethecapscrewsandclampsfromtherearofthefueltankand
removethefueltankfromthemachine.
9.Inspecttherubberbushingthatsupportsthefrontofthefueltankfordamage
orwearandreplaceitifnecessary.
10.Toinstallthefueltank,followthisprocedureinreverseorder.
11.Applyanti-seizelubricanttothecapscrew(item32)thatsecuresthefront
ofthefueltanktothemachine.Installandtightenthescrewfrom3.4to6.8
N·m(30to60in-lb).
12.Fillthefueltankandopenthefuelshut-offvalvetocheckforleaks.Repair
anyleaksbeforestartingtheengine.
EvaporativeControlSystem
Theevaporatecontrolsystemusesacarboncanisterandaseriesofvent
hosestocollectevaporativeemissionsfromthefueltank.Thefueltankuses
anon-ventedfuelcap.Arollovervalvepositionedatthetopofthetankallows
tankventingthroughacarboncanistermountedundertherightsideconsole.
Fuelvaporsfromthefueltankareventedtothecanisterandconsumedbythe
enginewhentheengineisrunning.
Acheckvalvelocatedneartheengineisusedtocontrolevaporativeemission
owthroughthesystem.Thecarboncanisterisconnectedtoboththerollover
valve(vent)andthecheckvalve.Whentheengineisrunning,engineintake
