CAUTION
Makesurewheelmotorisproperlysupportedbeforeremovingthe
mountingscrews.Thewheelmotorassemblyweighsapproximately
32kg(70lb).
7.Removeten(10)capscrewsthatsecurerearwheelmotortothesteering
spindleandremovethewheelmotor.
8.Ifnecessary,removettingsfromwheelmotoranddiscardttingO−rings.
RearWheelMotorInstallation(Figure96)
1.Ifttingswereremovedfromwheelmotor,lubricateandplacenewO−rings
ontottings.Installttingsintomotorportsandtightenttings(seeInstalling
theHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittings)(page5–9)).
2.Positionrearwheelmotortosteeringspindle.Makesurethatportsinwheel
motorarefacingtowardtherearofthemachine.
3.Securewheelmotortospindlewithten(10)capscrewsandatwashers.
Tightencapscrewsfrom91to112N·m(67to83ft−lb).
4.Removeplugsfromhydrauliclinesandttings.Usinglabelsplacedduring
theremovalprocess,attachhydraulichosestowheelmotorandtightenthe
connections(seeInstallingHydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFaceSeal)
(page5–7)).
5.Installtherearwheeltothemachine(seeWheels(page7–3)).
6.Fillreservoirwithnewhydraulicuidasrequired.
7.Afterassemblyiscompleted,verifythathydraulichosesandttingsdonot
contactanythingthroughfullrangeofaxlemotion.
8.Checkhydraulicsystemforleaksbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
