CAUTION
Neverinstallorworkonthecuttingdeckorliftarmswiththeengine
running.Alwaysstopengineandremoveignitionkeyrst.
OperatorsManual
TheOperator’sManualprovidesinformationregardingtheoperation,general
maintenanceandmaintenanceintervalsforyourGroundsmaster.Refertothe
Operator’sManualforadditionalinformationwhenservicingthemachine.
BladeStoppingTime
Thebladesofthecuttingdeckshouldcometoacompletestopinapproximately
ve(5)secondsafterthePTOswitchisshutoff.
Note:Makesurethedecksareloweredontoacleansectionofturforhard
surfacetoavoiddustanddebris.
Toverifybladestoppingtime,haveasecondpersonstandbackfromthedeck
atleasttwenty(20)feet(6.1meters)andwatchoneofthecuttingdeckpulleys.
Havetheoperatorshutthecuttingdeckoffandrecordthetimeittakesforthe
pulleystocometoacompletestop.Ifthisstoppingtimeisgreaterthanseven(7)
seconds,thebrakingvalve(RV)inthecuttingdeckcontrolhydraulicmanifold
mayneedadjustment(seeChapter5:HydraulicSystem(page5–1)).
