StartingProblems
CAUTION
Removealljewelry,especiallyringsandwatches,beforedoingany
electricaltroubleshootingortesting.Also,disconnectthebattery
cablesunlessthetestrequiresbatteryvoltage.
Foreffectivetroubleshootingandrepairs,youmusthaveagoodunderstanding
oftheelectricalcircuitsandcomponentsusedonthismachine(seeAppendixA
(pageA–1)).
Ifthemachinehasanyinterlockswitchesby−passed,reconnecttheswitches
forpropertroubleshootingandsafety.
Note:UsetheInfoCenterDisplaywhentroubleshootingaGroundsmaster5900
or5910electricalproblem.
ChecktheInfoCenterDisplayforanyoperatoradvisoriesorfaultsthatmay
appear.UsetheInfoCenterDisplayDiagnosticsfeaturetohelpidentifythe
problem(seeDIAGNOSTICSSCREENS(page6–22)).

Battery−DisconnectswitchisintheOFF
position.
Batteriesaredischarged.
Batterycablesarelooseorcorroded.
FuseM2(60Amp)isfaulty.
FuseF−D3(10amp)tothekeyswitchisfaulty.
FuseF−D1(2Amp)isfaulty.
FuseF−D2(2Amp)isfaulty.
Afaultygroundconnectionexistsonmachine.
Keyswitchorcircuitwiringisfaulty.
Startersolenoidclicks,butstarterwillnot
crank.
Batteriesaredischarged.
Batterycablesarelooseorcorroded.
Groundcableislooseorcorroded.
Wiringatthestartermotorisfaulty.
Note:Ifthestartersolenoidclicks,theproblem
isnotintheinterlockcircuit.
