Theheadlightswitchislocatedontheoperatorsideofthecontrolconsole
(Figure220).Whenthetopoftheswitchisdepressed,theheadlightsshould
illuminate.TheheadlightswitchreceivespowerfromfuseF−B3(15Amp).
Testing
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecksandstopengine.
Removekeyfromkeyswitch.
2.Turnbattery−disconnectswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.Disassembletheconsolearmtogainaccesstotheswitch(seeConsole
Arm(page7–35)).
4.Disconnectmachinewireharnessconnectorfromtheswitchbeingtested.

5.TheswitchterminalsaremarkedasshowninFigure221.Thecircuitlogic
ofthethrottleswitchisshowninbelowtable.Withtheuseofamultimeter
(ohmssetting),theswitchfunctionsmaybetestedtodeterminewhether
continuityexistsbetweenthevariousterminalsforeachswitchposition.
Verifycontinuitybetweenswitchterminals.
