SCREENS(page6–22)).Someoftheelectricalcomponentsandthecircuit
wiringinvolvedinvariousmachineoperationscanbeevaluatedusingtheInput/
Outputscreenspriortotestingeachcomponentindividually.TheInput/Output
screensshowthecurrentstateoftheinputs,qualiersandtheoutputsrequired
toallowtheoperationtoproceed(Figure8).
CAUTION
Itmaybenecessarytostartandruntheengine,raiseandlower
thecuttingunits,orotherwiseoperatethemachineduringthe
troubleshootingprocess.Makesurethemachineisinawell
ventilatedareaandkeepawayfromcuttingunitsandmovingparts
whiletroubleshootingtopreventpersonalinjury.
Ifamachineoperationismalfunctioning,thefollowingprocedurecanhelp
identifythecomponentorcircuitwiringcausingthemalfunction.
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecksifpossibleandstop
engine.
2.SetthekeyswitchtotheRUNpositionandnavigatetotheInfoCenter
Diagnostic−Input/OutputScreenforthedesiredmachinefunction.Forthis
example,thePTOoperationhasbeenselected.
3.Manuallyoperatetheinputorqualiercomponent.Thecomponentstateon
theInfoCenterdisplayshouldalternateONandOFFasthecomponentis
switchedopenandclosed.IfONandOFFdonotalternateduringcomponent
operation,thecomponentoritscircuitwiringisfaultyandshouldbetested
(seeT esting(page5–36)).
Whenthecorrectinputsandqualiersarereceivedbythecontrollers,the
outputsidentiedontheInput/OutputscreenshouldshowasON.Iftheinputs
andqualiersareproperlypositionedandtheoutputremainsOFF ,aproblem
withcontrollerpower(circuitwiringorfuse)mayexist,ortheT oroElectronic
Controller(TEC)orTECsoftwaremayrequirereloadingorreplacement.Contact
