monitorstheconditionofvariousmachineswitchesandsensors(inputs)and
directselectricalpowertocontrolappropriatemachinefunctions(outputs)based
onthestateoftheinputs.CommunicationbetweenthetwoTorocontrollers,
theYanmarenginecontrollerandtheInfoCenterDisplayisprovidedbyaCAN
busnetwork.Thestatusofinputstothecontrollersaswellasoutputsfromthe
controllerscanbemonitoredwiththeInfoCenterDisplay(seeDIAGNOSTICS
SCREENS(page6–22)).
TheTECcontrollersareattachedtothemachineunderthefrontpowercenter
coverbehindtheoperatorseat(Figure135).Thecontrollersareidenticalbut
theyareprogramedina”master/slave”congurationandthereforecannotbe
interchanged.Themastercontrollerisprimarilyresponsibleformanagingthe
enginestartsignalandinterlocks.Theslavecontrollerisprimarilyresponsible
formanagingcuttingunitoperation.
