linksarelocatedinaharnessthatconnectsthestarterB+terminaltothewire
harness(Figure195).Ifeitheroftheselinksshouldfail,currenttotheprotected
circuitswillbeinterrupted.RefertoAppendixA(pageA–1)foradditionalfusible
linkinformation.
Testing
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingunitsandstopengine.
Removekeyfromkeyswitch.
2.Raisehoodandturnthebattery−disconnectswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.Removetheshieldoverthestartermotor.
4.Locateandunplugfusiblelinkconnectorfrommachinewireharness.
5.Useamultimetertomakesurethatcontinuityexistsbetweenthefusible
linkterminals.
6.Ifeitherfusiblelinkisopen,replacethefusiblelinkharness.
Note:Itisnotrecommendedtoreplaceindividualfusiblelinkconductorsof
thefusiblelinkharness.Ifanyoftheharnesslinksareopen(failed),replace
theentirefusiblelinkharness.
