Thethrottleswitchislocatedontheconsolearm(Figure214).Whenthefront
ofthethrottleswitchisdepressedandheld,theenginerpmwillincreasetoits
HIGHidlesetting.Whentherearofthethrottleswitchisdepressedandheld,
theenginerpmwilldecreasetoitsLOWidlesetting.Ifthethrottleswitchis
depressedmomentarily,theenginespeedwillincreaseordecreasein100RPM
incrementsaccordingly.
Theenginespeedswitchisusedasaninputfortheengineelectroniccontrolunit
toraiseorlowertheenginespeed.Whentheswitchisdepressedandheldinthe
forwardposition,theenginespeedwillincrease.Conversely,whentherearof
theswitchisdepressed,enginespeedwilldecrease.
Themastercontrollermonitorsthepositionofthethrottleswitch(increase
ordecrease).Usinginputfromthethrottleswitchthemastercontroller
communicatesthedesiredchangeinengineRPMtotheYanmarECUviathe
CANnetwork.TheYanmarECUadjuststheenginethrottlearequested.
Testing
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecksandstopengine.
Removekeyfromkeyswitch.
2.Turnbattery−disconnectswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.Disassembletheconsolearmtogainaccesstotheswitch(seeConsole
Arm(page7–35)).
4.Disconnectmachinewireharnessconnectorfromtheswitchbeingtested.

(ohmssetting),theswitchfunctionsmaybetestedtodeterminewhether
