4.Extractshaftwithheadandpistonbycarefullytwistingandpullingonthe
shaft.
IMPORTANT
Whensecuringshaftinvise,clamponshaftclevisonly.Donot
clampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.
5.Mountshaftsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftheshaft.Remove
locknutandpistonfromtheshaft.Slideheadfromtheshaft.
6.RemovepistonsealandO−ringfromthepiston.RemoveO−ring,back−up
ring,wearring,dustsealandshaftsealfromthehead.
7.Washpartsincleansolvent.Drypartswithcompressedair.Donotwipeparts
drywithpapertowelsorcloth.Lintinthehydraulicsystemwillcausedamage.
8.Carefullyinspectinternalsurfaceofbarrelfordamage(deepscratches,
out−of−round,etc.).Replaceentirecylinderifbarrelisdamaged.Inspect
shaftandpistonforevidenceofexcessivescoring,pittingorwear.Replace
anydamagedparts.

1.Makesureallpartsarecleanbeforereassembly.
2.CoatnewO−rings,pistonseal,wearring,shaftseal,back−upringanddust
sealwithcleanhydraulicoil.
A.InstallpistonsealandO−ringtothepiston.
B.Installback−upring,O−ring,wearring,shaftsealanddustsealtothe
head.
IMPORTANT
Whensecuringshaftinvise,clamponshaftclevisonly.Donot
clampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.
3.Mountshaftsecurelyinaviseequippedwithsoftjawsbyclampingonthe
shaftclevis.
A.Coatshaftwithcleanhydraulicoil.
B.Slideheadandpistonontotheshaft.
C.Securepistontoshaftwithlocknut.T orquelocknutto176N·m(130
ft−lb).
4.Lubricateheadandpistonwithcleanhydraulicoil.Slideshaftassembly
carefullyintocylinderbarrel.
