TherearenumerouscoilactuatedhydraulicsolenoidvalveontheGroundsmaster
hydraulicmanifolds.Whenthecoilsareenergized,hydraulicvalveshiftoccursto
controlhydraulicow.
Note:Afaultysolenoidcoilorsolenoidcircuitwiringproblemwillnotbeidentied
bytheInfoCenterDisplay.TheInfoCenterDisplaycanbeusedtoverifythat
outputcurrentfromtheappropriateTECisavailableforthesolenoidcoilbut
theDisplaywillnotverifythatthesolenoidcoilandcircuitwiringisfunctioning
correctly(seeInfoCenterDisplay(page6–9)).
Testing
Testingsolenoidcoilscanbedonewithoutremovingthecoilorhydraulicvalve
asfollows:
1.Locatethesolenoidvalvecoiltobetestedanddisconnectthewireharness
electricalconnectorfromthecoil.
Note:Priortotakingsmallresistancereadingswithadigitalmultimeter,short
themetertestleadstogether.Themetermaydisplayasmallresistance
value(usually0.5ohmsorless).Thisresistanceisduetotheinternal
resistanceofthemeterandtestleads.Subtractthisvaluefromthemeasured
valueofthecomponentyouaretesting.
