1.Applyanti−seizelubricanttoupperandlowersplinesofsteeringcolumnshaft.
2.Holdsteeringcolumninpositiononmachineandslidesteeringcontrolvalve
ontolowerendofsteeringcolumn.Securesteeringcolumnandsteering
controlvalvetomachinewithfour(4)capscrews.Tightencapscrewsfrom
47to56N·m(34to42ft−lb).
3.Installthesteeringcolumnboot(item5):
A.Carefullypullthebootdownoverthesteeringcolumn.
B.Setthesteeringcolumntilttothefullyrearwardposition.
C.Gentlypullsteeringcolumnbootoverthetiltcontrollever.
D.Setthesteeringcolumntilttothefullyforwardposition.
E.Pullthefrontofthebootdownoverthebaseofthesteeringcolumn.
4.Installsteeringcoverandsecurewithseven(7)angeheadscrews.
5.Installthebearingcoveroverthetopofthesteeringcolumn.
6.Installsteeringwheel,atwasherandhexhut.Tightenhexnut(item2)from
28to35N·m(20to26ft−lb).Installsteeringwheelcover.
