7.Removecapsthatwereplacedonevaporatorcoretubesandexpansion
valveportsduringtheremovalprocess.Positionexpansionvalvewith
attachedhosestotheevaporatorcoretubes.Properlysecureevaporator
coreswivelttingstofrontportsofexpansionvalve.Torquettingsfrom21
to27N·m(15to20ft−lb).
8.Makesurethatallmachineairconditioningcomponentsareinstalledand
secure.
9.Makesurethatexpansionvalveiscoveredwithinsulatingtapetoprevent
condensationissues.
10.Haveacertiedairconditioningservicetechnicianevacuatetheair
conditioningsystemcompletely,properlyrechargethesystemwithR134a
refrigerantandthenleaktestthesystem.A/Csystemcapacityis3.43lb
ofR134arefrigerant.
11.Operatetheheatersystemtomakesurethatnocoolantleaksinheadliner
exist.
