Note:Calibratingtheagitationbypassvalvefor
machineswithoutathrottlelockrequires2people.
1.Ensurethatthesprayertankislledwithwater.
2.Verifytheagitation-controlvalveisopen.Ifithas
beenadjusted,openitcompletelyatthistime.
3.Setthetransmissionasfollows:
•ForHD-SeriesModelswithamanual
transmission—shiftthetransmissiontothe
NEUTRALposition.
•FortheHDX-Automodel—shiftthe
transmissiontoP(park).
4.Engagetheparkingbrakeandturntheengine
on.
5.Turnonthesprayerpump.
6.Settheenginespeedasfollows:
•Formachineswithouttheoptionalthrottle
lock—have1personpressdownonthe
acceleratorpedaluntiltheenginereaches
maximumspeed.
Note:Havetheotherpersoncollect
samplesfromthesprayernozzles.
•Formachineswiththeoptionalthrottlelock,
pressdownontheacceleratorpedaluntilthe
enginereachesmaximumspeedandsetthe
throttlelock;refertooperationinstructions
foryourWorkmanhandthrottlekit.
7.Setthe3individualboomvalvestotheOFF
position.
8.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheONposition.
9.SetthesystempressuretoMaximum.
10.PresstheagitationswitchtotheOFFposition
andreadthepressuregauge.
•Ifthereadingremainsat6.9bar(100psi)the
agitationbypassvalveisproperlycalibrated.
•Ifthepressuregaugereadsdifferently
continuetothenextstep.
11.Adjusttheagitationbypassvalve(Figure89)
onthebacksideoftheagitationvalveuntilthe
pressurereadingonthegaugeis6.9bar(100
psi).
