3.Removethehopperassemblyfromthemachine;refertoRemovingthe
HopperAssembly(page9–3).
4.Removethechuteassemblyfromthemachine;refertoOperator’sManual.
CAUTION
Donotopenradiatorcapordraincoolantiftheradiatororengineis
hot.Pressurized,hotcoolantcanescapeandcauseburns.
Ethylene−glycolantifreezeispoisonous.Disposeofcoolantproperly
orstoreitinaproperlylabeledcontainerawayfromchildrenand
pets.
5.Draincoolantfromtheradiatorintoasuitablecontainer.Removetheradiator
fromthemachine(seeRemovingtheRadiator(page4–8)).
DANGER
Dieselfuelishighlyammableandexplosive.Areoranexplosion
fromthefuelcanburnyou,burnotherpeople,anddamageproperty.
Usecautionwheneveryoustoreorhandledieselfuel.
Donotsmokewhilellingthefueltank.
Donotllthefueltankwhiletheengineisrunning,whilethe
engineishot,orwhenthemachineisinanenclosedarea.
Alwaysllthefueltankoutsideandwipeupanyspilleddiesel
fuelbeforestartingtheengine.
Storefuelinaclean,safety-approvedcontainerandkeepthe
capinplace.
Usedieselfuelasanenginefuelonly,notforanyotherpurpose.
6.Drainthefuelfromthefueltankintoasuitablecontainer.Removethefuel
tankfromthemachine;refertoRemovingtheFuelTank(page4–13).
7.Removetheenginefront,topandrearcovers;refertoFrameAssembly
(page7–19).
8.Removetheaircleanerassemblyfromtheengine;refertoRemovingthe
AirCleanerAssembly(page4–3).
9.Removetheexhaustpipefromtheengine;refertoRemovingtheExhaust
System(page4–5).
10.RemovethePTOdriveshaftfromthemachine;refertoRemovingthePTO
Driveshaft(page8–18).
11.Removetheelectricclutchfromtheengine;refertoRemovingtheElectric
Clutch(page8–15).
12.Removethehydraulicpistonpumpandgearpumpfromtheengine;referto
RemovingtheHydraulicPumpAssembly(page5–83).
Note:Topreventdamagetotheelectricalwireharness,numerouscableties
areusedtosecurethewireharnesstothemachinecomponents.Recordthe
locationofallcabletiesthatareremovedfromthemachineduringtheengine
removalsothattheycanbeproperlyreplacedduringtheengineinstallation.
